                                                               About Us Our History

Delta Omega Zeta was originally founded as a women's philanthropic organization in the Spring of 2001. It started with only four members and grew to a total of 40 members in the Fall of 2004. The group's main focus was on philanthropy and academics.

In the Spring of 2004, we held our first philanthropy themed "The Price is Right" to benefit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. We continued this tradition in the Spring of 2005, 2006, and 2007, and have raised over $3000 for the non-profit organization.

In the Spring of 2003, the group became an interest group under the University of Evansville's Panhellenic Council and began working towards expansion. During the 2003-2004 school year, we received the Dean's Award for Organization of the Year. After many votes and much discussion, the women's philanthropic organization became Delta Omega Zeta in February 2005. Our official founding ceremony was held on Saturday, August 27, 2005.
